Routable OSM

Routing is going to be the next big thing in OSM. It adds a huge amount of value to an already valuable dataset, and several methods are being explored over on the routing mailing list. Check out this video demo of pyroute:

    For routing and navigation there is also navit. See http://navit.sourceforge.net
    It currently supports garmin, osm and map&guide maps.

    Cool!
    Will it also be possible to switch the routing to pedestrian?

    BTW: I think comments might be more active if you enable anonymous comments. The Akismet plugin prevents spam quite well.

    could anyone guide me on how the street data could be replaced by aeronautical data – i.e. lat/longs with connectors and tags?
